Brent Mendenhall’s uncanny resemblance to George W. Bush was first recognized in the mid 90’s by some friends in Dallas. Brent began doing the impersonation as a funny, non-professional imitation for friends and family. When Governor Bush was elected President, Brent decided to become a Presidential impersonator.
Before 2001, the Missouri native had been a construction and marketing executive following his graduation from the University of Missouri in 1971. During this time, Brent was active in local community theater, as a civic group toastmaster and as a construction industry business speaker. He left his previous career to become a full time performer and entertainer.
Brent’s and President Bush’s lives have had several parallels through the years which helps Brent with the understanding of the Bush character he portrays. Both of them grew up in politically active families with a strong mother running a household consisting of several boys and one girl. Baseball was their favorite sport. Both received business degrees and were more involved with fraternity and campus activities than they were the books. After graduation, both pursued business interests similar to their fathers and joined the Methodist Church. Both married in their thirties and each cut back on their partying in the mid eighties. Both have two children and have had a dog named Spot.
Mr. Bush bought the Texas Rangers and subsequently became Governor of Texas and President of the United States. Mr. Mendenhall became an entertainer and humorous corporate speaker.
Brent has had nearly 400 paid appearances as George W. Bush and has appeared in 40 states and 10 foreign countries. He has appeared regularly on national TV shows and has been in several domestic and foreign movies.
Also, he has worked for numerous prestigious corporations and organizations with a live “Presidential” appearance. Brent strives to present a characterization that is humorous, corporate clean, bi-partisan and tailored to the client’s gathering. Most appearances begin with a surprise entrance with Secret Service and Hail to the Chief music followed by a 20 to 25 minute speech. A meet and greet with souvenir photos generally follows.
Brent is a professional entertainer and speaker who takes pride in making sure each client is given a memorable and enjoyable performance.read less
