Jim Brazell is a technology forecaster, strategist and public speaker focusing on innovation. In 2011, Jim’s storytelling initiative delivers interactive experiences with Brigham Young Instructional Leadership in the 21st Century Conference, National Education Computing Conference, the National Career Pathway Network Conference, American Technical Education Association Conference, 25th Annual Careers Conference, Texas School Board Association Summer Institute, St Francis University, Texas State University, and the University of Texas System-Innovations in Online Learning. His blended learning strategies include Twitter, online virtual worlds, audience creativity, and oratory.

From 2003-2008, Jim’s academic work includes serving as an analyst to the Innovation Creativity and Capital Institute, University of Texas Austin and the Texas State Technical College System. During the same period, Jim has been a start up coach serving the boards and executives of several high technology firms.

Jim has served as a volunteer to the Defense Learning Strategies Consortium, Automotive Manufacturing Technical Education Collaborative, Texas STEM Action Committee (TBEC), Information Technology and Security Academy and the San Antonio-Austin Nano-Bio-Tech Summit. Today he is a volunteer to the “Cyber Security Action Team” Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the Society for Design and Process Science STEM/arts/business initiative.

Jim’s collaborator is Dr. (Col.) Francis X. “Duke” Kane who was recognized in March of 2010 as the catalyst of the global positioning system (GPS) in response to Russia’s SPUTNIK I.
